- Interpret the ISO 37001 requirements for an ABMS from the perspective of an auditor
- Evaluate the ABMS conformity to ISO 37001 requirements, in accordance with the fundamental audit concepts and principles
- Plan, conduct, and close an ISO 37001 compliance audit, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements, ISO 19011 guidelines, and other best practices of auditing
- Manage an ISO 37001 audit program
This participant-centered training course is designed to provide an engaging and practical learning experience by:
- Exploring theoretical knowledge alongside industry-level best practices in ABMS audits, ISO 37001 requirements, and globally recognized auditing standards
- Integrating practical exercises into lecture sessions, including role-playing and interactive discussions to reinforce learning
- Encouraging active engagement through open discussions between the trainer and the participants
- Including multiple-choice quizzes, some of which are scenario-based, designed to help participants prepare effectively for the certification exam
Participants who attend this training course are required to have a fundamental understanding of anti-bribery concepts and a comprehensive knowledge of audit principles.
Day 1: Introduction to the anti-bribery management system (ABMS) and ISO 37001
Day 2: Audit principles, preparation, and initiation of an audit
Day 3: On-site audit activities
Day 4: Closing of the audit
Day 5: Certification exam
The “PECB Certified ISO 37001 Lead Auditor” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). The exam covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an anti-bribery management system
Domain 2: Anti-bribery management system requirements
Domain 3: Fundamental audit concepts and principles
Domain 4: Preparing an ISO 37001 audit
Domain 5: Conducting an ISO 37001 audit
Domain 6: Closing an ISO 37001 audit
Domain 7: Managing an ISO 37001 audit program

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for one of the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you fulfill all the requirements of the selected credential.

Note: PECB Certified individuals who hold both the Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials are eligible to apply for the PECB Master Credential, provided they have completed four additional Foundation Exams, have 15 years of professional experience (including 10 years in anti-bribery management), and have completed 700 hours of audit activities and 700 hours of project activities. To be considered valid, the audit activities should follow best audit practices and include the following:
- Planning an audit
- Preparing audit test plans
- Managing an audit program
- Drafting audit reports
- Drafting nonconformity reports
- Drafting audit work documents
- Reviewing documented information
- Conducting on-site audits
- Following up on nonconformities
- Leading an audit team

- Certification and examination fees are included in the price of the training course.
- PECB will provide training material of over 450 pages of information and practical examples.
- An attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued to participants who have attended the training course.
- Candidates who have completed the training course but failed the exam are eligible to retake the exam once for free within a 12-month period from the initial date of the exam.
